Seasons of Change.

There are going to be days when you doubt your destiny, lose your way, or feel insecure with who you are. This is a part of your journey. You’ll never have it all together, you won’t always be happy, and you won’t be sure of who you are all the time. Instead of beating yourself up over it, just go with the winds of change within yourself. In life, there will be seasons of growth and change, and there will be seasons of restlessness and rest. We can’t always be productive, purposeful, and passionate. Some days, just getting dressed will be a huge accomplishment. If you’re in this cold dark season, be gentle with yourself, keep moving, and stop criticizing yourself. You’re not going to stay stuck in this place of complacency forever. I know it may feel like it now but you’re not – you’ll get your zest and motivation back. Until then, just live and be.

Tips for Everyday Exercise

I’ve always been mindful of being proactive through the little things I do; like eating right, sleeping early, being thankful, and moving my body. With the warmer weather here, it’s been a treat to go outside for picnics, walk along the beach, and bike at night. Since I don’t buy a gym pass, I like to exercise through simple and free means like walking to the grocery store, vacuuming the house (which I really dislike), doing the dishes by hand, baking, gardening, or going for a walk after dinner. Although these simple activities will take up a part of our day, it’ll help us to slow down in life and benefit our health in the long run.

My Musings for Today

Don’t do it, don’t do it – don’t second-guess or doubt yourself. Better to take risks than to do nothing at all. Move forward with confidence but take things in strides. Know your worth then surround yourself with people who know it too. Take risks. Have the courage to express the voice within. Work with people who you like and respect. Don’t say yes when you really want to say no. Stop being a people pleaser. Never compromise your values, beliefs, and convictions. Put love before work. Always work on your craft. Find a hobby in the midst of pursuing your dreams. Forgive yourself and others. Lessons learned, no regrets. Foster gratitude everyday. Instead of making assumptions, ask for clarification. Make time for people, especially those who could use a helping hand. Fill your heart with so much love that there’s no room for hatred. If you’re unhappy with some part of your life, change it. Don’t complain. Never ever put yourself down in thought, word, or deed. Replace pride with humility. Be generous with your time, money, and resources because you can’t take it with you once you’re dead. Invest in people through kindness, gentleness, and patience. Always be hopeful, joyful, and thankful.

If you want to do something, you have to do something.

one stepIf you want to lose weight, it starts with the first step. If you want to write a book, it starts with the first page. If you want to do something, you have to do something. There’s no amount of meditation, inspiration, and thinking that’ll help you accomplish your goal if you don’t take action. Stop humming and hawing on how you’re going to do and just start from where you are. Sometimes, overthinking can paralyze you and stump you from moving forward. Go on your first run, and see the domino effect on your mind and body, write that first page and see how the story unfolds. You’re not going to have it all figured out before you start, so you might as well just go for it! Trust the process and enjoy the journey.

Don’t suffer needlessly, take responsibility.

IMG_2192We don’t have to suffer needlessly with anger, resentment, or sadness in our lives. We have the power to change our feelings at any given moment. One of the ways we can change our feelings is to take responsibility for it. When we begin to take ownership of our feelings; we’ll stop blaming people for how they’re making us feel, we’ll stop taking offence to their behaviour, and we’ll stop fighting for what they’re not giving to us. Blaming others for how we feel will only bring us heartache, sadness, and pain. This sheer act of taking ownership of our feelings will quickly transform our lives, strengthen our relationships, and alter our attitudes. It’ll also give us a peace of mind, security within, and open doors to communication and growth. May strength, grace, and wisdom guide you in this journey.

The New Year always brings a sense of hope and promise for the upcoming year – it helps to re-set our mental attitude, fills our hearts with expectations, and gives us a greater hope for the future. But it can also be a stressful time filled with the expectation to change that may be followed by disappointments when they’re not fulfilled. Be encouraged to know we’re given a new chance everyday – a new slate for our health, attitude, relationships, and goals. We must foster a New Year’s attitude everyday not just at the beginning of the calendar year. Everyday is an opportunity to start over, begin anew, and make necessary changes. We’re given 365 chances to make a change in our lives, not just for the first few days of the year. Instead of a New Year let’s make it a New Day, everyday.

I wish you and your loved ones all the best of 2015!

Happy New Year!

The New Year traditionally has been associated with new beginnings or bringing about change. Resolutions generally revolve around relationships, health, career or finances.  It’s a time to start over or for second chances by setting personal goals for the New Year.  Beginnings bring hope, clarity, possibilities and newfound energy. It seems easier to set goals in the beginning of the year but harder to practice as the months go by.  And sometimes the newfound enthusiasm turns into complacency in the daily grind of life.

This year, AquaTerra TV wants to inspire people to live the best life they can live:  To enrich relationships, thrive in career and finances, and strengthen all aspects of health.  It’s a place that will offer hope, clarity, inspiration, and joy in the walk of life.  Join Peter and I in this journey of wholeness and wellness through our blogs, videos and quotes.

We wish all the goodness and beauty this New Year has to offer you and your loved ones!
