How to be an awesome partner.

Of course this list is far from being exhaustive. But exercising these 9 simple things can strengthen and flourish your relationship. Not only will you create a more loving and accepting environment but you’ll both notice a shift in your mood, behaviour, and reactions to each other. Always choose to see the best, believe the best, do the best, and be the best for each other.

The Art of Living Intentionally.

With the holiday season upon us, it’s easy for us to say yes to every party invite and become a Martha Stewart and Santa to everyone we know. The holidays can be challenging as we feel the heaviness of unspoken expectations and unrealistic demands that are placed on us. When we do things out of obligation we’ll feel resentful, tired, and angry – we’ll feel as though our time is not our own and we’re losing control of it. One of the ways we can bring joy and peace back into the holidays is by being intentional with our time – this may mean making decisions based on love rather than out of duty, learning to say no without feeling guilty, and learning to do less. May we master the art of living intentionally everyday.

This summer, make memories that are just yours.

i can't take your callEvery once in a while, I like to leave my phone at home or take a day off from it. Being disconnected from my gadget helps me to be in the moment and be present to those around me. It’s easier to be fully present as I’m not distracted to check my phone or be interrupted by a beep of a text or the ring of an incoming call.

This summer, I challenge you to put your phone away for a few days and to make memories that no one else knows about – memories you don’t have to capture, tag, or post… memories that are just yours. Experience things for what they are rather than losing the moment by trying to take the perfect picture. If you must take a picture, then take it with the lens of your eye rather than with the lens of your camera. Embrace and enjoy the moment.

Best Mother’s Day Video. Ever.

Today, I was going to write a long article about how great mother’s are, how much they’ve done for us, and how we wouldn’t be here without them. But instead I found this creative and funny video that articulated what I wanted to write. Thanks for all your hark work moms! Enjoy this Mother’s Day! (I hope you get the day off)!

Video of the Week | Parents Are Awesome

Every so often I come across a video noteworthy of being Video of the Week. This Parent Rap Video is noteworthy. I not only love this creative video because it made me laugh but because of it’s truth. I know, sometimes, life can be tough but I believe parenting can be tougher. During those tough times, keep the love and laughter close at hand and see the big picture when those small things drive you insane. Have a fun week!
